"This is not the place for you if you are wanting modern amenities. Yet if you want to stay at an authentic historic 1900s inn, this is the place for you! We were told that the inn is in the middle of remodeling and has new owners. I sincerely hope the new owners do not take away from any of the authentic details this historic site has. Within easy walking distance of local restaurants in the Town square and museums..."

"Could be in my opinion, the attraction of Downtown Abbeyville. The new owners are wonderful and accommodating, the history is palpable, and its just a wonderful place to experience. It's like a step back in time, and while the rooms aren't the Hampton Inn they have clean bathrooms, sheets and wonderfully comfortable beds. :) I really hope business picks up, this place deserves it! So glad we took a chance and decided to stay!"

"I can’t comment on the rooms or location as of yet, however I can attest to the reservation staff (don’t recall her name). She called me a week ahead of our reservation to confirm our booking information. Unfortunately that day our family beagle (which we had reserved a pet room for) was at the emergency vet. She was immediately sympathetic and offered her prayers for our furry family member. Unfortunately we will not be able to fulfill our current reservation..."

"I love this town and hotel. It has been years since I've stopped and stayed the night. I’ve learned that the hotel has changed ownership twice since my last visit, and the previous owner was apparently running it into the ground. The good news is that the new owner seems to genuinely care about the history and the community, and my stay was very nice. I hope to see this place thriving on my next stop. Thanks again for a..."

"This is an old hotel the parking was a bit difficult to navigate but not terrible. Everything was clean in the room and if you are into history this is definitely the location for that! They have vintage luggage and items around and even how they check in has that vibe. The restaurant was quiet and a bit dark but the chicken wings were large and in charge! Great prices room and extremely quiet. There was no ac that I..."

"I love staying here on the way to Diamond Hill Mine. This place is old and spooky and charming. Little pub on the bottom floor is cute. But bring a power strip!! There's nowhere to plug anything in. Also, the AC outside the rooms and in the lobby seems to be broken."

"As an individual who has travelled fairly extensively in numerous countries, I have stayed at hostels and facilities in Europe and Aisa that would make any traveler gasp, travelled to South America, and lodged in Soviet-era hotels in Moscow; yet I do not consider myself a world traveler. I'm someone who has had the privilege of seeing many different cultures through my middle-class eyes. I can't recall writing a review for any lodging facility before. The Belmont Inn is a..."
