"This is not the place for you if you are wanting modern amenities. Yet if you want to stay at an authentic historic 1900s inn, this is the place for you! We were told that the inn is in the middle of remodeling and has new owners. I sincerely hope the new owners do not take away from any of the authentic details this historic site has. "Could be in my opinion, the attraction of Downtown Abbeyville. The new owners are wonderful and accommodating, the history is palpable, and its just a wonderful place to experience. It's like a step back in time, and while the rooms aren't the Hampton Inn they have clean bathrooms, sheets and wonderfully comfortable beds. :) I really hope business picks up, this place deserves it! So glad we took a chance and decided to stay!"

She called me a week ahead of our reservation to confirm our booking information. Unfortunately that day our family beagle (which we had reserved a pet room for) was at the emergency vet. "I love staying here on the way to Diamond Hill Mine. This place is old and spooky and charming. Little pub on the bottom floor is cute. But bring a power strip!! There's nowhere to plug anything in. Also, the AC outside the rooms and in the lobby seems to be broken."
